Nintendo has announced Metroid Dread for Nintendo Switch – yes really. “Metroid 5” has been announced with Nintendo ackowledging that Metroid Prime 4 is still in development, but not ready to show. Metroid Dread will release on 8th October.
Metroid Dread is a sidescrolling Metroid adventure with Samus seemingly being hunted by a creepy robot names E.M.M.I. throughout the entire game. Metroid Dread will be the first side-scrolling Metroid game in 19 years. The game follows on canonically from the excellent Game Boy Advance game Metroid fusion.
