Spider-Man: Miles Morales update 1.10 improves Performance RT quality – here’s some patch notes

The tireless Insomniac Games has released another update for Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PlayStation 5, with the most notable improvement being for the quality of ray-traced reflections in the Performance RT graphics mode.

Performance RT was added to Spider-Man: Miles Morales in an update after release. At launch, the game let you choose between 4K at 30fps with ray-tracing enabled, and between an upscaled 4K at 60fps without ray-tracing. Performance RT mode brought the best of both worlds, giving you 60fps performance with ray-tracing, but cutting the resolution down to 1440p.

Since then, Insomniac has added Performance RT modes to the PS5 remaster of their first Spider-Man game. Performance RT was also added to the phenomenal Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in a day one patch – speaking of which, Rift Apart was just updated with an unusual 120Hz 40FPS graphics mode

We gave Spider-Man: Miles Morales 8/10 in our review. “Spider-Man: Miles Morales feels like more of a sequel than it is a stopgap, entangling players within its web of cleverly refined mechanics while delivering some familiar web-slinging thrills,” said Jim. “A heroic technical showcase for PS5 owners picking up their consoles on day one, this meaty side story in the Spider-Man saga has us even more excited than before to see what Insomniac Games have planned next.”
