BioWare has revealed the latest expansion for its free to play MMO Star Wars The Old Republic, and that expansion is called Legacy of the Sith. The content has been announced as the first big piece of content to mark ten years since Star Wars The Old Republic’s release. Legacy of the Sith is also the start of the next Galactic Season called Shadows of the Underworld, which will bring rewards based on the Shadow Syndicate such as  Fen Zeil, a Duros Gunslinger and first Duros Companion in The Old Republic.

Legacy of the Sith will take players to new locations where players will be able to experience new Imperial and Republic storylines, that will shape who has control of these locations. The first of these locations is Manaan where players will fight through underwater facilities that will ultimately decide which faction controls the planet, and its kolto resource. Then on the planet Elom a ruin of a Sith Fortress is discovered where Darth Malgus is said to be searching for relics that relate to both the Sith and Jedi. The Elom storyline will be available to play alone or in multiplayer. Finally, players will have a new R-4 Anomaly Operation to take part in where a Sith cult has found an ancient and powerful weapon. This mission will require a group to play through.

In addition to the new locations, Legacy of the Sith will bring with it the option for players to change their combat styles. Here’s more information from BioWare.

Players can now separate their Class Story from gameplay style for an even greater customization experience. This frees up Advanced Class options as characters can choose any Advanced Class within the Tech or Force playstyle! Play as a Trooper wielding a Sniper Rifle, or a Sith Inquisitor with a lightsaber in each hand, or even secretly use Dark Side powers while posing as a member of the Jedi Order. Loadouts will increase your ability to customize, allowing you to swap between playstyles and gear with a click.

BioWare will also be looking to improve the gameplay experience with a revamped character creator and general refinements to the gameplay of Star Wars The Old Republic. Legacy of the Sith will be available to all subscribers and will be released around winter 2021.
