Sony and Mantisco have confirmed that the 30 player PvP and PvE Battle Royale Hunter’s Arena: Legends will launch as a PS5 and PS4 console exclusive on August 3rd. The Steam version is getting a full release on the same date. Hunter’s Arena: Legends will also be one of August’s PlayStation Plus titles. It has also been confirmed that there will be cross play enabled between the PlayStation and PC versions of the game.
In Hunter’s Arena: Legends players will be battling each other in a world where demons have surfaced. The reason the Hunters are fighting each other is because one of them unleashed the demons so they do not trust each other. If PvP is not for you then you can enter the dungeons for rewards while facing off against demons and bosses. The full features of the Hunter’s Arena: Legends can be found below.
- Five new warriors – Momo, Dalgi, Wu Kong, Pigsy, and Sandy – will be added to a total roster of 17 Hunters that players can enjoy, test, and craft their own strategies with.
- Smaller map for tighter gameplay – Listening to user feedback, the map has now been shrunk and the number of players has been decreased for more dynamic gameplay and easier navigation. Fast travel options have also been added.
- Overhauled combat system – To give players more options, Quickstep has been added to the game. It’s a risky move that can turn the tide of the battle, but using it makes players more vulnerable to enemy’s projectiles.
- New arena, crossplay, and more – There’s a new arena coming, as well various optimizations that allow for cross-play between PС and PlayStation. The game’s PC performance has been further improved.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends will have some competition with other battle royale titles, but the focus on a non FPS setting and additional monsters in the environment could help differentiate the game. It will be interesting to see how it shapes up in comparison to Naraka: Bladepoint, which has also been confirmed for PS5.
