Skydance Interactive has announced that The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners free Aftershock update will be released on September 23rd. The content will add 4-6 hours of additional gameplay with the game continuing after the end of The Tourist’s quest. The Aftershock update was originally planned to be released in May, however it was delayed close to the original release date with technical issues popping up that needed resolving.
Aftershocks will be much harder than the main campaign because players should be better equipped, which means tougher enemies, new guarded areas, and death squads. There will be traps to watch out for including tripwire bombs that will be located all over maps. Aftershocks will be the first piece of major content for The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners, and there will be clues dotted around pointing to what will be next through Aftershocks.
We gave the game a resounding 9/10 in our review. Jason had this to say:
“The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an excellent VR game that stands out from a lot of what the medium tends to be associated with. The weight of the combat combined with the constant worry that the undead and the living both bring combine for an incredibly gratifying experience. Throw in crafting, the solid writing and meaningful quests and you’ve got a pretty special game on your hands. This is definitely worth a look if you can stomach more zombies. I mean, kill them, don’t eat them.”
We liked the game so much we ran another feature on it, explaining why The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is the best PSVR game yet in 2020.
