Back in June 2020, New World Interactive announced that Insurgency: Sandstorm’s console release was delayed from its August 25th 2020 release date. This was due to the console build not being ready. Now, it has been confirmed that there is finally a release date for Insurgency: Sandstorm on Xbox One and PS4. That release date is September 29th, 2021 and a price of £25.99.
Insurgency: Sandstorm is a multiplayer first person tactical shooter which has both versus and co-op modes. The game is set in a fictional Middle East nation where two factions face off, with those being Security and Insurgency. The push for the release may have been helped with the fact that New World Interactive was acquired by Embracer Group. Alongside the PS4 and Xbox One releases updates for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are also expected.
Stefan played Insurgency: Sandstorm when it was released for PC and he wrote:
Insurgency: Sandstorm is hard, but whether you’re coming from other tactical shooters or having to adapt to something a bit different, it’s a rewarding game. There’s still a major challenge ahead of me, but just from the co-op, I’m already enjoying it.
