Rocksmith+ will be released in 2022

Rocksmith+ has been pushed back to 2022, Ubisoft has announced. The subscrition based follow up to Ubisoft’s guitar learning title was announced in June during the Ubisoft Forward event. The 2022 dates comes following the closed beta of the Rocksmith+ software, with the decision being made to take that feedback and make improvements to the core experience that will be available when it releases.

Rocksmith+ will have much more in depth progress tracking for beginner and intermediate players, tracking playing technique and speed not just on one song but on a more personal level. This will give players a chance to really understand where to go when learning, along with a deep recommendation system that will guide players through a musical journey. Also included in the subscription service of is the Rocksmith Workshop where players can make arrangements using the licensed songs available in the catalogue. Advanced players will have a full tablature view giving a familiar look when learning songs. Players will be able to use the standard features of slowing down compositions so they can nail them before moving on. In addition, players will only need to download an app on their phones and have a guitar to begin learning, or refining their skills.

Rocksmith+ will be available for $14.99 per month, $39.99 for a 3-month subscription, and $99.99 for a 12-month subscription. The previous Rocksmith release was Rocksmith 2014 Remastered, which released back in 2016 for PS4, PC, Mac, and Xbox One. People who had the original 2014 release were given free upgrades to the remastered edition.
