Diablo 2 Resurrected login issues continue, some servers offline

diablo 2 login issues server status offline

Diablo 2 Resurrected players have continued to battle against login issues following the game’s launch.

Blizzard has been working to fix the problem, keeping fans up to date on the Diablo 2 Resurrected server status. While some servers are back online, other regions are currently unable to log in, players venting their frustration on social media and the Diablo subreddit.

Here’s the latest from Blizzard’s customer support team for those players in the EU.

For those waiting to dive back into their Diablo 2 playthrough, unfortunately there’s nothing to do but waiting for the server maintenance work to be completed.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is a complete remake of the iconic Blizzard RPG, out now on PC and consoles. In our review, we scored it a not so diabolic 8 out of 10:

Diablo 2: Resurrected is a great remake of a real classic. It looks and feels just how I remember it from playing in the early 2000s, but with cooler lighting and sharper graphics. It has a few control issues with when using a controller, but it’s still a must-play for anyone who used to play it and misses it, and a strong recommendation to anyone else who likes action RPGs, dark and grim atmospheres, or who just wants to experience a treasure from the now distant past.

If you’ve already blitzed through Diablo 2 Resurrected and want to find your next dungeon crawling fix, we’ve created a list of the best games like Diablo. There are some greats picks including Path of Exile and non isometric RPGs such as Borderlands 3.

In the meantime, we recently delved into the Diablo series. Our feature explores how Blizzard created the first games in what would become a flagship PC franchise, what features were ultimately left on the cutting room floor, and how Diablo 3 managed to recover from its train wreck of a launch.

  1. The game is an awful state…on all platforms it consistently crashes…heck on Console if you place an Area or Damage skill on the Interact button it instantly crashes but NOW for three days you can’t log in.

So offline characters suffer crashes and mass rollback where you lose mass amounts of gear and progression and the mitigation of that is to play an online character but stay solo and now you cannot for 3 days because they have server isssues.

Literally the most sterotypical example of Activision Blizzard taking an IP and messing it up. With Classic Warcraft, with WoW losing many customers people will remember how diabolical (pun intended) this release has been when there is Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4 to come out.

To not play is one thing but to play then rollback and lose progression is criminal.

But EVEN WORSE is there has been zero interaction from the Community Managers on their forums for the last 3 days…none whatsoever…Twitter is the sole place to find out there are issues whilst on Facebook the Diablo account posts, whilst the game is down, adverts to buy the game.

Activision Blizzard are so out of touch with modern gamers they are going to crash and burn…the lawsuits reveal just what their caveman mentality is like.

    • The character rollback stuff sounds nightmarish. Would honestly kill my playthrough if I had decided to pick up a copy!

Given how botched the Diablo 3 launch was ages ago, it’s wild to see D2 release in this state.
