Scarlet Nexus update 1.04 adds challenges with new DLC

Scarlet Nexus update 1.04 has finally arrived after being announced by Bandai Namco last month. The new patch is available on all platforms including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

With the release of update 1.04, Scarlet Nexus players can now access a more in-game content.

According to Bandai Namco, over 50 new challenges have been added. These give players the chance to unlock “costume variations and weapon skins to change their look without any effect on their gear’s performance. Additional plugins in the shop and new dialogues will also be available along with the newly-added content.”

New Paid DLC Pack “Bond Enhancement Pack 1”.

  • The new bond level “EX” will be added to the bond system and players will be able to further enhance their bonds with their allies!
  • 10 new bond episodes, 5 for each Yuito’s and Kasane’s story. Different from the base game, the new episodes will depict bonds between allies.
  • Discover new sides and experience the deepened bonds between allies and the protagonists.
  • Gifting new presents to liven up your hideout, enhance bonds, get photos and also matched attachments from your friends as well!
  • Leveling up to bond level “EX” will unlock
  • “Crush Vision”, a new move that is extremely useful in battles!
  • Also, a new additional costume set,
  • “Fairy Tale Attire”  will be made available.
  • Created by character designer and illustrator Yusuke Kozaki, the costume set’s design is based on the motif of fairy tales.
  • A weapon set which is designed based on the “Fairy Tale Attire” will also be available.

From its compelling story, to its wild enemy designs and combat, I’m kind of in awe of Scarlet Nexus. Where Bandai Namco games often have a niche appeal, I’ve got no reservations about recommending Scarlet Nexus. I’d definitely suggest skipping a lot of the side stories, but everything else here is the kind of anime-infused greatness that will appeal to nearly everyone.
