Dead By Daylight chapter 22 – new killer, survivor and map revealed

dead by daylight chapter 22 new killer

Dead By Daylight chapter 22 will add a new killer, survivor, and map when it arrives later this month.

“Portrait of Murder” has been officially unveiled by developer Behaviour Interactive and is loaded with a slab of gory content for fans to explore this November. The popular multiplayer hit is also launching on the Epic Games Store, it has been confirmed.

So, what’s new in Dead By Daylight chapter 22? Following the Hellraiser themed chapter 21 which introduced Pinhead as a playable character, we’re getting some original additions to the DBD roster.

Let’s kick things off with the highlight of this latest DLC – new killer Carmina Mora. Or, as she’s better known, The Artist.

Carmina was on the verge of taking her own life just before she was saved by an eerie murder of crows. The unreal experience transformed her jet-black ink surrealist art form into a bolder, larger and more colorful expression. She started painting large-scale militant murals on street corners, exposing local corruption. Everywhere she performed, crows followed. As she soared in the public eye and shed more light on corruption, she started receiving death threats. The fateful moment arrived, and Carmina was abducted with her friends and taken to an abandoned graveyard in the middle of the desert. Her wrists were severed, and her tongue chopped off. At the same moment, a torrent of crows erupted from the clouds once again, this time to assault her assailants as well as her friends. After this brutal encounter left her maimed, Carmina was taken by The Entity. Twisted into a grotesque vessel of vengeance, she would turn anyone in her path into carrion for the flock.

Without any accompanying gameplay footage, we don’t know The Artist’s powers of mechanics in Dead By Daylight just yet.

She will be joined by a new survivor in chapter 22 – CIA codebreaker, Jonah Vasquez. Looking to decipher a sinister string of numbers that haunt him, he ends up crossing paths with Mora in Chile, at a place known as the The Forsaken Boneyard.

As you might have already guessed, this is new map being added in Dead By Daylight chapter 22. The new DLC will arrive later this month on all platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.

From December, you will be able to purchase Dead By Daylight via the Epic Games Store. This version will feature all previously released DLC expansions with cross platform play and cross-progression enabled when you sign in using your Behaviour ID.

Released in 2017, For Honor is still supported by regular community events, competitions, and content drops. We’re current in Year 5 Season 3 (Y5S3) with a new hero set to join the ever-growing roster by the end of the year.

In case you missed it, we recently re-reviewed the multiplayer horror hit, bumping up its original score:

“Dead By Daylight has evolved into somewhat of a phenomenon, proving that the often maligned games-as-a-service model produces more than just cookie cutter loot shooters. It’s still an acquired taste and a bit rough around the edges though stands out as one of the most unique ongoing multiplayer games of the generation.”
