Fan favourite Alien: Isolation is heading to mobile this Christmas, both iOS and Android, because nothing says happy holidays more than being ripped apart by a xenomorph. Here’s the trailer.
The game has been refitted to support touch screens but you can use a controller if you prefer. Rather amazingly this is not only the full game that previously launched on consoles, it’s all seven of the DLC packs as well, including Last Survivor and Crew Expendable.
Now I know what you’re thinking, how have they made this free to play and forced in microtransactions? The answer is the have not, you have to pay actual money for a game on your mobile! Whatever will they think of next? Alien: Isolation is set to be released from the airlock on December 16th, for £12.99, and pre-orders are up iOS is available to pre-order now, and Android players can register their interest here.
When we reviewed the game on PlayStation 4 way back in 2014 we gave the game a stonking 9/10. “The idea of never being comfortable with how the game is unravelling is something that feels quite unique and it’s extremely well imagined here,” said Peter. “Plenty of survival horror games have you feeling vulnerable as you essentially fulfil the role of a hero but things are different here. In Alien: Isolation you’re not the hero, you’re the prey.”
