Remedy Entertainment and Tencent have signed an agreement for the co-operative multiplayer game Vanguard, with the agreement covering development, publishing, and localisation. Players should not expect a lot of details regarding Vanguard as the game is still in early proof of concept stage. It will run on Unreal Engine and is being developed for PC and consoles. According to the agreement Remedy will develop the game and handle publishing duties everywhere except in some parts of Asia. Tencent will be handling localisation and publishing in those areas. Tencent has the rights to develop and publish a mobile version of Vanguard worldwide.

Project Condor is another multiplayer game in development at Remedy
This is not the first time a multiplayer game has been announced by Remedy Entertainment. In June. Project Condor was announced as a co-op four player game set in the Control universe. For that game Remedy had signed a co-publishing agreement with 505 Games. Interestingly, at the time of the reveal the name Vanguard was also used.
Game Director Mikael Kasurinen said: “We get that there is going to be skepticism about multiplayer. But I believe we can create shared experiences without compromising the unique DNA of who we are, or the stories we want to tell. Yes, we need to re-think our angles, our techniques, our mindset, but we see it as an exciting challenge: What would a Remedy multiplayer game look like? The Vanguard team has done awesome progress on that front already, and the possibilities there are extremely exciting. Both games will be different examples of how you can collectively experience our worlds. We are approaching this with a mix of excitement and respect. We want to create something that is engaging, yet familiar, something any of our fans can jump into and feel at home in. Together.”
Hopefully we will get more information about Project Condor in the next year.

So… On EVERY SINGLE Activision article you lot go out your way to end it by mentioning the allegations against Activision. But when Tencent is mentioned, a company owned by the CCP, you don’t mention the fact that they’re actually owned by a brutal regime that actually has concentration camps for Uyghur Muslims? Not to mention their own barbaric human right abuses against their own citizens, like barricading people in their homes and leaving them to starve.
And yes, Tencent is part of the CCP.
