MotoGP 22 will be released in April, confirms Milestone

MotoGP 22 is going to be released on April 21st, Milestone has confirmed. The news came via an announcement trailer for the motorbike racing game which showed some in game footage, with a voice speaking about almost touching the asphalt and outrunning lions. MotoGP 22 has been confirmed for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch, though the Switch version will not support split screen multiplayer.

MotoGP 22 will feature over 120 riders and more than 20 tracks. Players will be able to move through the ranks of Moto 3 and Moto 2 before taking on the best riders in MotoGP. The game will feature a managerial career where players can create their own team or join an existing one. In this mode players will be able to hire their own staff, develop improvements for the bike, create junior teams for Moto 2 and Moto 3 while hiring a manager, technical director, and rider to keep those going. There is also a mode called Nine Season 2009 where players will be able to replay the championship of that year while watching 50 minutes of footage from the 2009 season. Cross play will also be available in MotoGP 22 but only within the same family of consoles.

In our review for MotoGP 21, Stefan wrote: “Milestone’s MotoGP series has taken some significant steps forward in recent years; expanding the career mode, making the bike handling more realistic and lively, but it’s a little tougher to see the signs of progress in MotoGP 21. This is a slighter evolution of the series, with the biggest changes the ones that you can see from the jump to the new generation consoles and, if you’re on PS5, feel through the DualSense controller.”
