This War of Mine: Final Cut has been announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, launching on May 10th. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. The release of This War of Mine: Final Cut will feature improved resolution and user interface, as well as all the content from the base game as well as This War of Mine: Stories. In addition, there will be new quests, events, classic scenario, and a new character.
“The message and themes existing inside of This War of Mine have, unfortunately, become brutally vivid and relevant in recent months. We believe it’s especially important to educate people on the realities of war right now, while its horrifying reality has become a daily struggle for people that are close to us. We’re proud that recent This War of Mine fundraising helped us create a wave of spontaneous help for war victims in Ukraine, and we hope we can further spread our antiwar message with This War of Mine: Final Cut” , says Przemek Marszal, 11 bit studios CEO.
11bit Studios has been using the anti war message of This War of Mine to address the war in Ukraine. Recently, profits from sales of This War of Mine raised over $500,000 for the charity War Child. 11bit has also worked to get money raised across the games industry to support those who are suffering from the impact of the war in Ukraine. 11bit has donated $850,000 alone.
In our review for This War of Mine: The Little Ones, I wrote: “This War Of Mine: The Little Ones is more than a game, and can be considered one of the most effective anti-war tools ever created. This is not a game you play for fun or to unwind, and the addition of children for the console release makes it even more poignant, as the realisation dawns that all over the world people are living through these hellish conditions. This War of Mine: The Little Ones doesn’t just drive home how desperate people get in times of war, but also makes you take note of how lucky so many of us are to live in a more stable place.”
