Blood Bowl 3 has a new beta taking place from June 1st to June 12th, Nacon has confirmed. The beta will be on PC only, and is closed. Players who were part of the previous Blood Bowl 3 betas will be automatically granted access to this one. New players will need to register their interest through the official Blood Bowl 3 website.
This third beta will have six playable factions including the Black Orcs, the Imperial Nobility, the Elven Union, and the Dwarfs. There will also be two new factions who have not been in Blood Bowl video game before. These two factions will be revealed during the Warhammer Skulls event on June 1st. In addition, this third beta for Blood Bowl 3 will introduce some new pitches that will have their own unique rules to play by. When the game launches properly there will be 12 teams with corresponding pitches that will have their own rules and cheerleaders, both solo and multiplayer modes, and a number of customisation options.
In our preview for Blood Bowl 3, Luke wrote: “Blood Bowl III remains every bit as particular as its predecessor, a lavish yet slavish adaptation of the most recent board game, with the benefit of a fancy new engine that promises new features such as in-depth customisation of characters, which will likely take full advantage of the upgraded graphics.”
Blood Bowl 3 was first revealed in 2020 with the aim to release in 2021, which did not happen. It was at the tail end of 2021 that Nacon confirmed that the game would not release that year, with it being pushed back to 2022. A definite 2022 release date is yet to be confirmed, though that could come during Warhammer Skulls. Blood Bowl 3 is set to be released on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch.
