Tom Henderson of Try Hard Guides has revealed that he has seen footage of Hideo Kojima’s new game which is titled Overdose. The game features Margaret Qualley, the actress who played Mama in Death Stranding, and the footage has her walking through a dark environment in a blue dress. The video ends with a jump scare and Kojima’s name so it sounds like it’s a trailer of some sorts.
Since revealing the game Kojima Productions have asked Henderson to remove the article but he has declined. Usually that sort of action is a confirmation the game is real, but it could just be Kojima Productions being protective, they had a lot of fuss over the Abandoned game which was nothing to do with Kojima.
Kojima’s games always generate a lot of interest and there have been multiple rumours on what he has been working on since the launch of Death Stranding at the end of 2019.
In September 2011 Norman Reedus suggested that Sony and Kojima were talking about Death Stranding 2 and then in November 2011 Kojima posted a picture of Norman Reedus hinting that more Death Stranding could be on the way. This was finally confirmed in May this year when Reedus, who doesn’t seem to be good with NDA’s, revealed that work on Death Stranding 2 had started. Maybe he’ll get a penis this time.
Overdose does seem to be a new game but it could still be in the Death Stranding universe, Kojima has hinted that he would be expanding the universe.
There were also rumours that Kojima would be swapping allegiances and his next game, Venturebeat’s Jeff Grub dismissed the Abandoned / Silent Hill rumours by stating that Kojima was talking to Microsoft about making a game for them, one that would utilise The Cloud. There’s a buzz word we haven’t heard for a while, Microsoft couldn’t get enough of The Cloud a few years ago.
Kojima does like an E3 reveal, that can’t happen this year but he may announce the title during a PlayStation or Xbox event.

I think that you might be off by a few years (my guess is 10) on the hints to Death Stranding 2. Predicting Death Stranding 2 in 2011 would be pretty amazing :)
