Death Stranding is being added to the Xbox Game Pass PC library, Kojima Productions and 505 Games have confirmed. The date on which the game will be added is August 23rd. This announcement follows a tease from earlier this week, in which the Game Pass Twitter changed its profile picture to a location from Death Stranding.
Death Stranding on Windows 10/11 PC will include features such as ultrawide mode, photo mode, a high frame rate, and cross-over content from other franchises. Death Stranding PC Game Pass Edition will also have the following items, that will get unlocked as progress is made through the campaign. These items include the Chiral Gold / Omnireflector “Ludens Mask” sunglasses, gold and silver power skeleton, gold and silver all-terrain skeleton, and the gold and silver armour plate.
In our Death Stranding PC review, Miguel said: “It’s a story well worth revisiting or experiencing for the first time on PC. The pacing of the game can certainly drag to a screeching halt through the middle, but with boosted frame rate and crisper visuals, you’ll likely be too mesmerised by the hauntingly gorgeous world of Hideo Kojima’s latest masterpiece to even care about the uneven story beats.”
Back in May, Norman Reedus let slip that Death Stranding 2 was in development during an interview with Leo Edit. In that interview, he said, “It’s not Ms. Pacman; it’s so realistic, it’s so futuristic, it’s so complicated and beautiful, and I was completely blown away. It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the MoCap sessions and everything. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was a huge thing, so we just started part two of that.”
Last month, it was confirmed that Hideo Kojima is working with Microsoft to create an Xbox exclusive that will use cloud technology.
