Hey, someone’s had this really unique idea! They’re going to take a horror film from the 80’s and – wait for it – turn it in to an asymmetrical multiplayer game! Genius, why hasn’t someone done that before…

I don’t think anyone was expecting a Killer Klowns from Outer Space, or particularly wanted one, but we’re getting one and the license was probably cheap as chips so everyone is a winner. Huzzah!

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Gameis an asymmetrical multiplayer horror based on the iconic ‘80s film. In the battle between Killer Klowns and citizens of Crescent Cove, team up and use your wits to harvest humans or save them from the alien invasion!

Take on a role of the iconic Killer Klowns – cooperate in a team of three players, utilize outlandish abilities, hunt humans with zany weapons, and plan your own alien invasion to successfully harvest the population of Crescent Cove. Crescent Cove is a sprawling arena for unique 3v7 fights between Klowns and humans – boasting various locations, randomly generated map layout and a multitude of tactical opportunities for both teams.

Explore a unique approach to hide-and-seek gameplay, customization, and respawn systems. PvPvE and dynamic objectives lead to multiple match outcomes.

The game is scheduled for release early next year for PC, Xbox One, XBox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 and you can sign up for the Beta tests by following this link. You can also Wishlist the game on Steam here. The game will have cross-platform multiplayer.

The title is being developed by Teravision Games and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment who are probably best known for the Hard West series.

The Klowns themselves have only starred in one movie back in the 1980’s but in 2018, the Syfy channel announced that it was in talks to license the rights to make multiple sequels, but they have yet to appear.
