Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has a brand new gameplay trailer courtesy of Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja, with this footage showing off some fast paced combat against small and large enemies alike. Set during China’s Three Kingdoms period, in which a number of Dynasty Warrior games have been set, the story shows a China that has monstrous creatures spreading danger in the land, and your character is trying to fight back.
In the footage for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the combat shows a mix of melee where the main character can fight nimbly, jumping over enemies and attacking with speed. That same speed will be needed to defend against incoming attacks especially when it comes to what appears to be a varied collection of bosses to take down. There is also a brief look at some magic attacks including lightning hitting enemies, and summoning a magical creature to help attack enemies as they head to swarm the main character.
The official description for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty reads, “Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.”
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty will launch in early 2023 and has been confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, and Game Pass.
