Splatoon 3 update 1.1.2 will be rolling out from September 30th, and the main point of it is to fix some communication and control issues. If you want to continue playing online you will need to download update 1.1.2. One of the fixes is for the Passivity power where players became squids at the end of it despite pressing ZR. Communication Changes
- Depending on the communication environment, we have taken additional measures to address the problem that communication errors occur frequently after the end of battles and bytes.
Changes to player controls
- Fixed an issue in the maneuver where when sliding while holding down the ZL button, even though the ZR button was pressed, when the rigidity of the slide was released, the shooting stopped and became a squid (octopus).
- Using the gear power “Passivity”, we fixed an issue where if you hold down the ZL button while passive and press the ZR button, you will become a squid (octopus) at the end of passivity, even though you hold down the ZR button.
- Fixed an issue that when performing a yoko slash immediately after a slash with a wiper, even if the ZR button is entered only once, it may perform two consecutive yoko slashes.
Competitive changes
- Fixed an issue where the armor of Nice Dama was in a state of not taking damage for a certain period of time after it was destroyed.
- Energy stands were installed in the corners of certain terrain to address the problem that players could get into the interior of the terrain when they turned from squid (octopus) to humans nearby.
Other changes

- Fixed an issue where the game could be forced to quit when exiting locker editing with a photo stand placed on the locker.
- Fixed an issue where the catalog level became 100 and if a communication error occurred or the game was interrupted when the next catalog was received at the Zacca shop, the event of receiving the catalog would not occur again.
※If you are already experiencing this issue, after updating the software, the event will occur again when you enter the Zacca shop.
