Oddballers has been confirmed for a January release

Oddballers, the dodgeball inspired party game from Ubisoft, is going to be released on January 26th. Ubisoft confirmed the news today stating that it will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Luna and PC. Oddballers will be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through backwards compatibility as well.

The game’s description says, “OddBallers is a bombastic, dodgeball-inspired multiplayer party game where players are encouraged to use hilariously unfair tactics and wacky weapons to win mini-games in this highly customizable, endlessly absurd world.”

Balls are not the only weapons players will be able to use. Players can use all sorts of items that come to hand and throw them at the opposition, with the environment also playing a part. Some of the tools include electrical fences, explosive gas tanks and tennis ball launchers. Oddballers features local and online multiplayer, with Switch players about to have up to six players playing together while other platforms are limited to four. Players will also be able to customise their character’s appearance too. There are 20 different arenas available in the game, and there will also be a number of mini games that can change the flow of matches.

Oddballers has been developed by Ubisoft Mumbat and Gameswing, with this being one of the first titles coming from Ubisoft’s second Indian studio. The other Indian studio is Ubisoft Pune which was working on The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.
