The PS Plus Essential games for December 2023 have been confirmed

Sony have revealed the December 2023 PlayStation Plus Essential games and as usual for the Festive period the titles are family friendly.  December’s titles of Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator and Sable will be available to PlayStation Plus members on Tuesday December 5th until Monday January 1st.

LEGO 2K Drive (PS5, PS4)

This licensed racing game could have gone the same way as the many, many other licensed racing games and just be a pants kart racer with some famous characters slapped on top. Thankfully it turned out to be rather brilliant scoring 9/10 in our review.

“Lego 2K Drive does an incredible job of bringing Lego racing to life; it’s unashamedly creative, consistently energetic, and confidently amusing,” said Dominic. “It’s the kind of game that can bring families together in front of a screen, and away from it.”

Powerwash Simulator (PS5, PS4)

Washing things is not fun, is it? Wrong, another cracking game that scored 8/10 in our review.

“PowerWash Simulator is a rare example of a game that more than lives up to its expectations,” noted Steve. “If the calming loop of the gameplay gets you then you’ll easily find hours of your life disappearing along with the dirt and grime. Add in some interesting challenge modes and a story that caught me by surprise and you have a game that more than deserves your time.”

Sable (PS5)

The last title scored a little lower in our review with 7/10, but it’s still well worth a look.

“Sable is a truly wondrous and serene experience at times, but lift the mask and you find it’s also one that has its flaws and inconveniences,” said Stefan. “If you can see past its weaknesses, this is a journey of pure and innocent discovery that’s well worth taking.”

What are the PS Plus November 2023 games?

As always there are three games on offer through the month and PlayStation Plus members have until December 4th to download them,

  • Aliens: Fireteam Elite (PS5 | PS4)
  • Mafia II: Definitive Edition (PS4)
  • Dragon Ball: The Breakers (PS4)

PS4 games playable on PS5 via backward compatibility.
