Mercurial and Weathervane are two new heroes revealed for Capes

Capes announcement

Spitfire Interactive, the developer of Capes, has released two trailers featuring two new heroes for the anticipated turn-based superhero tactics game. The heroes introduced are Mercurial, a speedster with a combat background, and Weathervane, a hero wielding lightning and wind-based powers. Both have joined the Capes to fight back against The Company, who have declared all superpowers illegal.

In Capes, supervillains have triumphed over superheroes. Twenty years later after the outlawing of those with powers, King City’s streets are dangerous for the superpowered, as any individual suspected of possessing powers is captured. Yet, a resistance thrives, led by the hero Doctrine. Players of Capes will assemble a team of heroes to challenge the tyranny in King City and reclaim it from villainous control. The game offers a blend of story-driven campaign missions to advance the narrative and optional Patrol Missions for mastering character abilities. The Capes King City Edition, releasing alongside the standard edition, provides buyers with 24 wallpapers, 8 alternative hero costumes, and a 54-page artbook. Some features of the game have been listed below.

  • Be Mighty: Play as a team of heroic protectors, each with unique skills and powers. Master each hero and unleash their devastating ultimate abilities!
  • Assemble Your Team: Combat isn’t based on raw strength. Choose your heroes wisely and combine their individual superpowers to create powerful combo attacks!
  • Level Up: Complete challenging missions and side-quests to gain XP and unlock your heroes’ potential with new abilities and powerful upgrades!
  • Defeat Evil: Face down vile villains, criminal corporate henchmen, and powerful bosses. Do you have what it takes to free your city from the clutches of villainy!?

Capes will be available for PC, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on May 29th.
