The wait is finally over for fashionistas everywhere, as a new entry in the fashion business simulator series Style Savvy was announced by Nintendo on their Japanese Nintendo Direct. For those unfamiliar with the undisputed best fashion game of 2012, Style Savvy: Trendsetters is a 3DS game in which you’re tasked with managing every aspect of a popular clothing store, from ordering shipments to creating displays and helping customers find new outfits and accessories. The game features a wealth of content and clothing, and the newly announced sequel looks to give us even more fashion, as well as function.
The new game features a whopping 19,000 different clothing items, drawing from dozens of different clothing styles like preppy, punk, princess, and “please don’t talk to me I just woke up”. On top of doubling the amount of clothing available, they’ve also introduced new hair styling options, including over 1,300 different hairstyle combinations and a new beautician mode where you can change the looks of your customers and find something to match their clothing style.
You can also help customers with their makeup, using a slew of new makeup options being introduced in the new game. As far as new clothing functions go, you’re now able to design your own original clothing using custom fabrics, and there will even be a mode that allows you to become a model and participate in fashion shows and photo shoots.
A Western release hasn’t been mentioned yet. While the last game in the series came out in America and Europe shortly after the Japanese release, a content update that came out later to introduce a new game mode has yet to be localized.
