The Music Of Square Enix Heads To That London For Symphonic Fantasies

If you are a fan of the music from Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross and Secret of Mana then you may like to head down to That London for a special performance by the London Symphony Orchestra.

Symphonic Fantasies London, which will be held at the Barbican centre, “is a tour de force of orchestral composition and performance. Conducted by Eckehard Stier, with arrangements by Merregnon Studios’ Jonne Valtonen and Roger Wanamo, Symphonic Fantasies London is the ultimate concert experience for Japanese RPG fans.”

Joining the orchestra will be the London Symphony Chorus, along with talented soloists Slava Sidorenko and Rony Barrak, and there will be a special pre-concert Q&A with Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura.

Sounds like a nice night out, which is a bit of shame because it’s not happening until October 2016. I guess the influence of video games has meant they are announcing the event ages before it actually happens.

Tickets for Symphonic Fantasies London are on sale now and range in price from £30 to £65. Tickets for the pre-concert talk with Yoko Shimomura will also go on sale at the same time, priced at £10 each. To book tickets please visit the official concert site, or via the Barbican site.

  1. Sounds like a good night.

  2. Booked. The games might have gone downhill, but the music is still top-notch.
