If you are of a certain age – read “old” – you will recall a series of educational video games featuring Carmen Sandiego, a young heroine who travelled the world stealing treasures way before Lara Croft arrived and made that sort of thing really cool.
Carmen has been missing for quite a few years but is set to return on Netflix with 22 animated episodes, with “Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez voicing the plucky adventurer. The series will look in to how Ms. Sandiego became a thief, and look at her back story.
Finn Wolfhard, star of Stranger Things and owner of the most RPG name ever, will be co-starring as Carmen’s best chum, Player.

Of course I know Carmen Sandiego..! :o)
That’s where most of my geography knowledge of that odd country called the US comes from. And it’s actually one of the games I still name sometimes to prove games can actually be educational. It’s just a shame it’s quite difficult to find any more recent examples – maybe games are as broken as reality is?
However, it’s a shame they’ve not made a game, as then I would’ve been interested.
