Spyro Reignited Trilogy spreads its wings on Switch and PC this September

If you were hoping to play as everyone’s favourite purple dragon on a certain hybrid Nintendo platform, then you’ll be delighted to know that the widely-successful Spyro: The Reignited Trilogy will be charging it’s way onto the Nintendo Switch on September 3rd as announced via the Nintendo Treehouse Direct at E3.

The remaster was a huge success when it launched for PS4 and Xbox One last year, and the little purpler dragon’s origins will be on Switch and PC for the very first time – Spyro has been on Nintendo consoles in the past, but in the Skylanders series. The two ports are being handled by different teams, with Toys For Bob returning to handle the game on Switch and Iron Galaxy making sure that the PC version supports 4K and an uncapped frame rate.

The game was only had a brief appearance in Nintendo’s E3 Direct, in a montage of games coming to Switch over the next few months.
