Pixeljunk Eden 2 revealed for Nintendo Switch, coming this summer

One of the highlights of today’s Indie World stream from Nintendo, Q-Games revealed PixelJunk Eden 2 for Nintendo Switch, coming out this summer.

A sequel to the 2008 game in Q-Games’ varied and experimental PixelJunk series, PixelJunk Eden 2 has you jumping, spinning, swinging and fighting invading creatures as you see to collect pollen and grow the garden to bloom. The game seeks to capture a feeling of synesthesia between the art and the soundtrack from Baiyon.

The game will be playable on solo or with local multiplayer when the game.

We have to dig back into our archives a little to find our review of the original. At the time we said:

“As with previous Pixeljunk games, we’d be lying if we said this was for everyone. For the rest of us, the hopeless addicts to anything 2D, it’s a remarkable title and yet another shining example of the excellent quality we’ve come to expect from the PSN Store when developers put their mind to it. Almost as good as Bugaboo the Flea, then.”

  1. What a shame this is not coming to PlayStation (yet) ..!
Have very fond memories of the first one, and actually never deleted it from my PS3, it’s an excellent game, even if it caused me to have a rage attack out of frustration now and then… ;-)
