So, apparently the 8/10 is causing a little unrest.

Here’s my take; I really don’t look at the given score anymore and furthermore I don’t give a toss what it is. After 20+ years of gaming I know my tastes and I know opinions are quite literally like arseholes (no offense).

Personally I often find the high scoring games tend to bore me in the end, perhaps I’m expecting more, perhaps I simply don’t “get” it.
As for GoW, I haven’t played it yet but I will. My wife is enjoying it on the whole, particularly the father/son interaction.

I feel like a review should either work Famitsu style with multiple writers combining opinions to form an aggregate score or simply have no score at all.

I guess what I’m saying is it’s just a number. If you like the look of it, play it. If you don’t, then that’s cool too.

The amount of flak the 8/10 is getting proves to me that people just can’t accept or respect each other’s opinions. It’s sad because writers respect readers and their comments.

I’m not sure 10/10 from TSA would change the game either, and 8/10 certainly shouldn’t affect the site’s credibility.
