So, I decided to replicate the PS3 MNR trophy boost thread that we had a few seasons back, but this time with the Vita’s MNR Road Trip version of the game which requires XP level 28 and 50,000 XP. It’s the same scenario of downloading peoples creations and rating them to give an XP boost.
As the game is free with plus and I just happen to have bought a new Vita, what better time to get some names down for a boost-up. I haven’t created and published anything yet but thought I’d put the feelers out to see who’s interested and then get some moulding done!
Basically get your name down and everyone signed up to this thread downloads and rates everyone else’s creations thus earning each one XP…. a more organised D4D I guess.
It worked well with the original MNR on PS3 so might as well try it with the titchy version!07/02/14 at 11:54 #211693
Yeah I’m in. I love creating stuff with modnation and it would be nice to see other people trying out creations.07/02/14 at 15:18 #211706Crazy_DelParticipant
Count me in and it was a successful back then. My creations is up and is exaclty the same as last time :P
Thats 3 racing games for me now lol – Modnation, Sonic and WipeOut all 3 on Vita!07/02/14 at 19:47 #211734
I’m not sure exactly what I have published atm, it’s been a long time since I’ve played this. I just have the creation related trophies and the ridiculously impossible ad hoc trophies left. Multiplayer trophies are bad enough but multiplayer trophies where you need to actually be near someone else with the game are just eff’ing pointless … either give us a proper online multiplayer mode or don’t include multiplayer trophies.
I’ll happily download other people’s creations though to help out.08/02/14 at 14:07 #211746
Top stuff, from what I’ve seen you get 30 slots for publishing although I’m not sure if that’s 30 of each Mod, Kart and Track or 30 overall. I found yesterday that you can download your PS3 MNR creations and re-publish them on Vita….although I’m not sure if this will give XP.
Basically when downloading anyone’s creations we need to rate them highly for the best XP allotment, and I’ve read that there’s around 20XP + 100XP for each download and top rating with possible extra XP for a play of them.
Anyway, for a download and top rate that would be 3600 XP for 30 published slots and if 14 people downloaded all of those that should be around 50,000 XP. I don’t know how the XP level works yet though!
To check your XP levels it’s recorded in the publishing shop menu with a search of the creator, his/her stats should show current XP levels.

Give me a nudge and I might hop into the game and do that, but by golly, I tried it the other day and it was pants!09/02/14 at 09:05 #211771
Yeah Tef I find that the game is crying out to be played using a Dualshock 3 lol, I do struggle with the controls on the Vita but once past that learning curve and a few levels in the game is quite good, although the difficulty spike is quite high as I’m struggling on level 4 career with those relentless AI :P
Did you get my message regarding the Vita’s battery charge? If not then I got an average 4 hour stint playing MNR RT from full charge to the black screen of lifelessness!
Anyway update, I downloaded one of each Mod, Kart and Track from my PS3 MNR profile creations, remixed them and republished on Vita so if someone could try downloading and rating those so I can see if the re-published PS3 creations actually do earn XP, that’d be handy to know ;)09/02/14 at 11:59 #211781BoomshanksParticipant
I don’t have a Vita, but if I can download your creations on my PS3 version I’ll help out.09/02/14 at 14:29 #211787
@freeze – Testing complete. I downloaded and voted on all 3 of your creations, 120xp gained for each … so remix es are fine.
I also checked my uploaded creations, I have 15 up at the moment spread between mods, karts and tracks. I’ll get back on at some point in the next few days and upload some more.09/02/14 at 14:49 #211788
Ah great stuff R1M thanks bud, I’ll get yours downloaded to see how much added XP it gives. Well that’s brilliant news as I now can use my best creations in MNR PS3 remixed….ooh I think the German Generals car may get an outing on Vita then lol. It’s also great news in the way of creation as it’s sooo much easier using the PS3 create studio’s before downloading to Vita for re-mix. I’ll get onto downloading everyone else’s as soon as they have a few on show.
@Boom Thanks mate but I’m not sure if the system works vice-versa, I’d suspect that the Mods need to be downloaded to Vita for an XP gift although you could check by testing a creators XP levels before and after ;)09/02/14 at 15:17 #211789
@freezebug2 just out of curiosity do I need some reference to find your creations i.e. PSN ID, special tag, or friends listing?09/02/14 at 15:23 #211792
No probs freeze. Totally agree about the creation being much easier on ps3.
I think you’re right about the stuff needing to be downloaded on Vita as I’d assume it would just add XP to the PS3 profile … hmm, I may fire up MNR on PS3 to check.
@Avenger – I think you can search by PSN ID, or alternatively filter by friends (if you have them on your list).09/02/14 at 15:31 #211795
Thanks R1MJAW. Presuming the TSA names and the PSN IDs are the same, I’ll get downloading the creations and do some of my own as well. Incidentally my PSN name is Avengerrr .

OK, after downloading another huge update and re-installing MNR game data I’ve finally managed to check … Vita creations do not even show up in the PS3 share station.09/02/14 at 16:35 #211798
Ok I’ve downloaded and 5* rated R1M and Del’s creations published so far, nothing on there yet from Avengerrr but will check back after he’s had a chance to create or re-mix.
I’ve just published to 22/30 slots allowed with some of my best/favourite PS3 remix creations…..a long winded affair but it’s only the once it needs doing!
@R1M Thanks for the clarification on the none PS3-Vita integration using the PS3 games publishing studio ;)
@Avenger My PSN ID is the same as my TSA username freezebug2 ;)
I’d already found your PSN ID from a trophy card post in gaming banter :P
