Keep the Atlas stones mate, they come in handy later! I won’t say how much later, the game will let you know :) Shame you lost so much info after playing offline then going online, that’s a shite! At least you didn’t go mad without internets, we suffered a bit of that last week, only for a day and luckily I could pop my phone out on the roof for a 4G signal and a bit of TSA!

Haha, it’s a real culture-shock these days when the internet goes down :)
Cheers ron, i’ll mind those atlas stones. Not too bothered about the planets i lost now that it’s led me to the Atlas pass!

Ha, i have the Atlas pass but all the doors besides one at spaceport now require lvl.2 and lvl.3! :/
I’m thinking i might have to make a detour to a system not on the Atlas path, to investigate whether i can still find any lvl.1 doors… but i need to continue with the planets on this system first..and i’ve just swapped to a crashed ship so i have some repairs to do.. resources to find..
Even though it’s a bit of a pain repairing a crashed ship i had to do it as my last ship upgrade had a terribly restricted cockpit view, so as soon as i found one with the ‘dome’-shaped cockpit there was no question of changing over. Being able to move the camera to such a wide degree makes it easier to spot stuff and all the better for enjoying the view whilst flying about the surface!

Yeah I know what you mean, the dome is much nicer for gazing at the views. I think there’s only one level 1 door per system and that’s in the space station, on the left balcony as you fly in. There’s plenty of level 1 items to unlock, they seem to drop various materials for warp fuel. I’ve been looking for ages but I’ve yet to get a level 2 pass, though I recently read that you get one after visiting 20 something Anomalies. No Man’s Sky has gone back in its box for now, I’ve still got this distance problem and I’ve also got Lego Force Awakens and Ratchet and Clank to play so I’m giving it a rest :)

Hmm… and presumably Anomolies only turn up every 10-20 warps.. cripes.. but yeah, plenty of materials to keep the warp drive full.
It took 20 mins to repair most of my ship, then 3 hours to find a single NPC/trading post who would sell me some Magnox for the final repair.

Enjoy your ‘rest’ :) , i’ll have to move on to something else soon too but for now i’m slowly meandering towards the last few goals.

I’m still playing this, got Atlas Pass lvl.3 and a few days ago found Magnox formula. Last night i took out the last few starships for the final ship-destroying trophy so only a couple of trophies for warping left and i’m … jeezus i’ll have my first platinum!

Here’s how i mopped up the last few starships – by stalking them from a trading post! :)

    For the new foundation update…

Find a nice system and scan. Then fly down to a habitable base and follow the instructions. And in case you get worried, your ship magically teleports to the base when you do.

And you can fly around for ages trying to find how to get a freighter. There are docking bays on top, facing forward. Be prepared to spend lots of money though. 7m was what it offered me – which I now need to go and find.

It’s quite a big update really. But no new trophies?

Weird thing is, i set up a base, then flew to space station to use the teleporter there in order to activate my base teleporter, didn’t realise my ship would follow me there so i teleported back to the station and then flew back to my base .. where the teleporter told me there was no active terminal to teleport to.. :? Guess i need to look into it a bit more.

Anyway, i elected to build my first base in a one planet system – which wasn’t a good idea given that some resources are now tied to specific biomes! So, i’ll use this as a building experiment and then move on to somewhere more suitable.

I picked up the first freighter i saw, just flew into the first bunch of them and one was highlighted so i docked and bought it for 7mil, seemed cheap but i guess they’ll go up exponentially in price like starships.

One small grievance i have is that the jetpack seems to have been nerfed so it depletes much quicker now …. but some hints have been found in the game code about a possible moon-buggy vehicle in a future update..
