I see Sony has announced they will no longer sell PlayStation TV in Japan, which probably means similar will happen in other markets. I get loads of use out of mine on a second TV or round a mates so I don’t need to lug around the PS4. As long as you have a good fibre broadband it works perfectly

Seemed quite a clever little device, and quite handy when it was bundled with the 1TB HDDs and selling for £40-ish standalone. It was victim to the failed support of Vita though, and lack of support itself. It wouldn’t surprise me if Sony ditch it. If they made more Vita games compatible with it, gave everyone the media apps they wanted, and continued to support Vita then it would’ve been very good.

There was a hack to remove the block on Vita games, its wonderful playing Wipeout 2048 on the big screen, unfortunately it’s been patched out. Such a shame the little box is going on the backburner, Sony should lift the block and replaced it with a compatibility warning.

Mine sits in the kitchen, remote play isn’t great but that’s probably my setup, ive enjoyed long hours of playing Fez and Rayman on the wee box which I think might well be the smallest PlayStation console ever. Despite the lack of support it’s a pretty cool little thing :)
