ParticipantHeloooo? (Echo, echo, echo…)
I went to see Guardians of The Galaxy 2 last night, I’m sure plenty of people have plenty to complaints but I honestly thought it was the most charming, fun and funny action comedies in a long long time. Definitely worth a trip, especially if you liked the first or enjoy the amazing soundtrack. Anyone else been to the pictures lately?03/05/17 at 14:28 #287207JustTaylorNow
ParticipantI saw guardians 2 & thought it was mediocre at its best. Typical marvel film relying heavy on comedy rather than story. The first one was better but the second one had a better villain & not a silly dance off ending.
I hate the fact that I had to sit there till all the credits roll just to see post credit endings, why I dislike marvel films.
Anyway I also had an opportunity to see split, good film but questionable in terms of, the way it ends like seriously this could have been done right at the beginning of the film & also the transformation was a bit random considering the film premises was brilliant till that silly transformation.
GET OUT: 10/10 for me, it touched on what’s going on in society in terms of black people that is, the references was brilliant. It’s not a horror either so don’t get what it’s under that genre

ParticipantGood to hear you liked Get Out, can’t wait to see that myself. Shame you don’t enjoy G2, I agree about the comedy but I don’t think story is always massively important, my standards are low enough that I really enjoy the Fast and Furious series haha.
I thought Logan was fantastic, proper scphincter pinchingly brutal and quite a gritty story, even if with TLoU similarities.
I think we’re in a mediocre phase of cinema, there’s plenty of brilliant stuff about but the big budget, heavily advertised stuff is often very meh. I’m trying to enjoy the meh for what it is, especially since little ones limit my cinema time.18/06/17 at 15:21 #290675aerobes
ParticipantThese forums aren’t quite what they used to be, eh? Nevertheless….
Watched Time Lapse recently.
Interesting low budget film about a group of ne’er do well 20 something’s sharing an apartment who discover a camera in an apartment directly opposite theirs that takes images of 24 hours in the future. Slightly creepy, little dark humour and we’ll acted interesting yarn.Recommended. 7/10

ParticipantLeprechaun in the Hood.
Not sure I really have to say too much here and quite frankly I’m ashamed of myself.
Keeping it succinct, complete and utter bollocks and I have no idea what the fuck I was thinking. I’d rather claw my own eyeballs out than watch this steaming wank again. Whichever colourblind twat gave the greenlight on this monstrosity has brought great shame on themselves and their village. Unfortunately, not the worst film I’ve ever seen.

ParticipantSpiderman – Homecoming: 8.5/10
Tom Holland played the role excellently. Recommended!18/07/17 at 00:54 #292544aerobes
ParticipantPower Rangers. Had zero expectations and I really enjoyed it. Pretty standard fare but it’s lifted by a good soundtrack and a likeable group of interestingly diverse kids, I’d definitely want to watch a sequel.
