After a year I finally managed to get the F1 2016 platinum, just in time for the release of 2017 today. Completing a race in pro career was the last trophy, attempted it a few times long before and crashed out after spending an hour racing (annoying), so this time I went as slow as possible and finished 8 laps behind the AI, didn’t care. Driving with no assists, in cockpit view, on ultimate AI is harder than in sounds, especially with no flashbacks.
Off out to get f1 2017 now, did pick up Uncharted Lost Legacy too (which is a little boring so far to be honest). Redownloaded Driveclub and going to the plat of that too.
Gradually getting through Fallout 4 trophies, but got sidetracked with making a vault.
Just got my 15th Platinum with Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Only my 4th on the PS4 too (Rocket League, Ratchet and Clank, MXGP). Decided to go for the 3 star dashes in the end which weren’t than strenuous, and used some Youtube videos to collect the rest of the collectables, so quite an easy one in the end.
I’ll definitely give The Order a go next then thanks.
Changing my mind on Mirror’s Edge, the platinum seems quite achievable with some video walkthroughs. Might have some major flaws but worth it for £9 sale price.
@Del ahhh The Crew, the online just didn’t work did it? haha
I found Ratchet and Clank a really enjoyable platinum, one of my favourite games of last year.
I’m currently trying to get the F1 2016 plat, but finding it hard to finish a race in pro career. A real kick in the teeth when you feel like your getting a hang of the raw racing gameplay with no assists, all of a sudden a bad gear change on an apex and you’re in the wall and out of the race and you’ve wasted an hour racing. Missing a few other time trial trophies and an online championship one, but I reckon I can manage it.
I’ve got a massive backlog of games to get through. Managed to finish Mirror’s Edge Catalyst today. Still enjoying finishing off the side missions but doubt I’ll push myself to go for 100% completion. I’m simply not good enough to 3 star all the time trial dashes.
Next single player game to start is either Rise of the Tomb Raider or The Order.23/11/16 at 10:32 in reply to: I haven't finished a game since Bloodborne & Fallout 4… #278649
I’m the same, got a load of games to finish.
Shadow of Mordor, Fallout 4, Dragon Age, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Bioshock Collection, The Order, and I’m yet to finish a season on F1 2016 or FIFA yet. I find it hard to get stuck into a game.
Saying that I started playing Ratchet and Clank the other day, and loved it, literally couldn’t stop playing and now I’m close to the platinum.
Went on a bit of a spending spree and bought myself Star Wars Racer Revenge, Shadow of Modor, MX vs ATV supercross encore and now Black Ops 3 (i’ve been playing Ghosts online this week and it’s made me realise how much I miss Call of Duty). I’ve still got Fallout 4, Far Cry and Battlefront to get through so I’ve given myself too many to play.
Haven’t posted in the forums for a year it must be, but last few weeks managed to find some time to game…
Recently bought quite a few games:
The Crew: Wild Run
I had the original game, which I really liked despite it’s hosts of flaws, so I bought the wild run expansion. It feels like it’s something that should have been included from the start but is not worth it’s £24.99 price tag. It only adds a few more events which change weekly, in which you score against the online community, but overall it’s a nice addition. Shame the servers are still shit though.
As a massive Fallout 3 and New Vegas fan I’ve been dying to play it and finally caved in. I think it’s absolutely brilliant. Great story line, lots of side quests, a massive interactive world, cool weaponry and some charismatic characters. Yes, some of the enemies might feel weakened….I’m looking at you super mutants, but at least the deathclaws are still scary. Already 23 hours in after 3 weeks, and will probably end up sinking triple before I get bored.
Star Wars Battlefront
Picked it up in the sales on Boxing Day. Didn’t plan on getting it (even though I live for Star Wars) after the poor reviews. There’s not much content but the gameplay, visuals and audio are brilliant. Particularly like the space craft battle mode as well.
Game of the year? It’s mine without a doubt.
Hoping to pick up Syndicate in the coming days. I’m not a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed series, but I quietly enjoyed Black Flag and Unity despite them having some issues. Although I don’t care for the story now, I know it’ll have a in-game world that I can have mindless fun in.
I’d be up for some meets. Loving the game so far.
Cheers, I’ve taken code 2 :)
As others have said, I tend to stick to the what’s good and bad section to ultimately decide on whether i;ll get it or not. I always make sure to read the harshest review on Metacritic too, just for perspective.
Score depends on the reviewer too. My 8 might be different to Tef’s 8.
Had the same issues as Tony with the PS3 version of The Last Of US last year. Joined a game late and it destroyed half my population, which I couldn’t help at all. Then my internet cut out for one game, and when I came back on to see the effect I don’t think I had one healthy person left. Sold the game after that.
Hoping the same doesn’t happen on the PS4.
Yeah very good, perfect for the 3D showing we saw it in too. I was really surprised as I wasn’t expecting much. The last Tom Cruise film I enjoyed was The War of the Worlds which was nearly 10 years ago, but he does a great job in this, nothing like the crap that was Oblivion.
Just joined the league. My 5th season of fantasy football and I’m yet to have a good one.
Been to the cinema a few times in the last few weeks.
I thought 22 Jump Street was great, not as good as the first, and basically the same, but still it made me laugh a lot.
Edge Of Tomorrow was superb. Great action, interesting story, and actually quite comical in places.
Also saw The Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes a few nights back. Not as good as Rise for me. Predictable storyline, but Andy Serkis and Toby Kebbell put in some brilliant performances as Caesar and Koba. Gave me goosebumps it was that scary.
I watched both Total Recall‘s last week. Have to say I prefer the newer one, it’s a lot more believable.
Planning to see The Inbetweeners 2 when it comes out. Also is it just me or does Guardian of the Galaxy look awful?
I’m pretty much sold on it. Unfortunately the one on the PSN store for £44 is just the game and the first DLC pack. I’ll have a look around for the lowest price.
Hoping to trade in BF4 so I can pick up Watch Dogs a little cheaper.
It’s strange as I much preferred BF3 to MW3, but this time around I’m just left frustrated. BF4 is unbalanced and has far too many connection issues, and the handful of games I’ve played on Ghosts have excited more than all mine on BF4.
