Nice work guys! I recently got….
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands platinum #121
DiRT 4 platinum #122
Now working on the DLCs for Mantis Burn Racing and Sniper Elite 4.
In co-op, am working on Escapists 2 and Black Ops III zombies.
Hmm, interesting story. Please, tell me more…
Same mate! Hopefully DiRT 4 will be my next platinum too…just not much time to play it. May make a start on the single player tonight once the kids are in bed, although I think I’m supposed to be completing my Sniper Elite difficulty playthrough of Zombie Army Trilogy with McProley tonight. That’s another game I’m very close to platinuming.
Finally got 100% trophies (no platinum) on Hitman last night – it’s only taken 5 months on and off! Brilliant and clever game though!
Going back to platinum DiRT 4 next!
Oh ok. Yeah I know Mile High Club will be a pain. Hopefully the joy of replaying it will slightly outweigh any frustration. Looking forward to it!
Nice one Lyts – I might save the CoD4 Remaster for my 125th platinum, so only a handful away (plus I have a few games I want to finish before starting something new anyway). Why was it harder that expected – anything in particular?
Looking at the future releases, there are a few old PS3 games I need to go back and play before their respective sequels come out – Ni No Kuni and Red Dead Redemption! Also, the Metro games…might as well play the PS4 remasters for those though.
Nice one Del, utter machine and still going strong!
I’ve been doing a whole load of online trophies of various games, just in case servers close etc etc and I get side-tracked with other games! At least if I get any MP/online done I can always still bag the platinum. It’s been quite nice as I’m varying my games, albeit finishing none!
– got the 2 online trophies in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst last night (quite enjoyed it but imagine it’ll get tedious/repetitive quickly).
– got most of the DiRT 4 ones – just need “Taps Aff”, one Jam Session trophy, and compete in 25 Pro Tour events (doesn’t matter where I finish). I also need the monthly challenge event trophy but I’m basically just waiting for the event to finish so the trophy pops, as I’ve completed all 12 stages.
– WipEout Omega Collection – grabbed the 4 online trophies last week. Looks beautiful on my OLED 55″ LG TV!
– Zombie Army Trilogy – got most of those. Just need to kill 20 Elite zombies in co-op. Should do this as I go through the campaign on Sniper Elite difficulty with McProley. My brother and Teflon has also joined in for some amusing 4-player co-op action. Fun little game!
– Hitman. Technically all the trophies are online (kinda), as you need to reach rank 20 on each level and your level data is stored on the servers.
Once Dirt and Hitman are done, it’s back to finish platinuming Ghost Recon Wildlands, then I should FINALLY start Uncharted 4…hopefully! However whilst that happens Micro Machines, Crash Bandicoot and CoD4 Remaster will all arrive!!
Oh, good to know about the disconnect thingy, much the iPhone from iTunes I guess.
Don’t worry, kids have a good balance of exercise and outdoor play too, I save the PS4 for when Daddy really needs a break ;)
Restored 100% trophies on Goat Simulator over the weekend – the Waste of Space DLC is awful, horrible, glitch. Hated it. Hope there is never anymore DLC for that game! It was a laugh to start with but it’s horrible now.
Played the first episode of TellTale’s Batman last night. Found it very dull if I’m honest. However I recall finding TellTale’s Game of Thrones slow to start, but got better – so I’m hoping it’ll improve!
Thanks mate, that’s incredibly helpful! :)
Very pleased that you can plug it into another PS4 – as my kids use my original PS4 but sometimes play on my Pro, so it’ll be useful to be able to just plug in the HDD to whichever system they’re using without the need to keep re-installing whichever game they want to play for that 5 minutes!
I always back-up my saves to the cloud after playing a game so it’s not an issue about the save data not moving to the HDD.
I’m not too fussed about the increased loading speed – would much rather have a USB powered HDD like you say. I hate more plugs and more cables!!!
Thanks again :)
Cheers Ron. The 100% thing can be an utter arse these days what with almost every game getting DLC, and now the model seems to include more free updates (with trophies!) and a year or so worth of developer “support/content”…I want to start new games but older games keep getting more DLC!!!!
It’s also disheartening when you’ve already done the main game (and platinum), then a couple of DLCs to 100%, then they release a DLC that just has one you can’t or won’t do.
PSNprofiles is a blessing and a curse! It does make you look back at your old game, and for a period on PS3 I used it to determine what I’d play next. Nice looking website too, everything’s displayed nice and clearly.
I should finish the latest Goat Simulator DLC tonight (Christ, I hope it’s the last DLC), then I can play some new stuff – Little Nightmares and TellTale’s Batman! :)
Great, conflicting information for the below sources as to whether you can play games directly from your external HDD – which is it? If not then it’s pointless for me as I don’t use my PS4 for any other kind of downloaded media and may as well just upgrade both internal HDD drives rather than having the ball-ache of transferring games from console to HDD and vice-versa (how much quicker is it than downloading)?
“With the games now stored on the external hard drive, you can take it and plug it into a different PS4, where the games should appear on the home menu screen. As long as you’re logged in on the PSN account which owns the games and are signed in online, you can then launch them and start playing immediately. This means that you can store a game on your external drive, then take it over to a friend’s house and play it on their console without having to download it all over again – very handy for those 50GB+ installs.”
“Note that you cannot play a game directly from the external hard drive, so you have to set a portion of your time transferring a file back to your PS4 before you can play the game again.”
At least it seems that you can use it on various PS4s so long as the “owner” is logged in online.
Congrats Del, good little game. Like you, I found the level 50 grind a bit of a pain at the end since I’d done all the other trophies so there was nothing else to aim for other than repeat racing.
I restored my 100% trophies on Sniper Elite 4 by finishing the Deathstorm 2 DLC (part 2).
Played a little bit of Little Nightmares too. Will probably continue with that and start TellTale’s Batman too!
Restored 100% trophies on Watch Dogs 2! :D
Now to do the same for Sniper Elite 4 with Deathstorm part 2!
Hardly played any games in the last month, just been super busy!
However I did manager to finish off the platinum (118) for Sniper Elite 4, plus the Hitler and Deathstorm pt1 DLC. I just noticed that Deathstorm pt2 has been released do I should be able to do that over the upcoming bank holiday weekend to restore my 100%. As with Sniper Elite 3, the DLC levels have been some of the better ones to be fair so looking forward to it. Deathstorm pt1 has since nice challenges too which made it interesting.
Last night I managed to get the single trophy for Watch Dogs 2’s new MP (free!) DLC. You had to win 4 matches in a row. Now I just need to do the new No Compromise single-player DLC to restore 100% trophies.
Then it’ll be back to Goat Simulator for what I hope is the last DLC (“Waste of Space” and time!!) to restore that 100% trophies.
Hoping to do all of those this week and over the bank holiday as I’d like to start Little Nightmares, and also something a little easier like TellTale’s Batman which has been near the top of my pile for sometime. I also have a day of Ghost Recon Wildlands planned with McProley this Saturday!
