Early Kane & Lynch 2 Demo For PS Plus

PlayStation Plus users will be offered early access to a demo of upcoming grit-fest Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days on Monday, July 19th. As long as you have your automatic demo push settings configured, the sneak peek of the upcoming sequel will whisk its way down the intertubes without you having to lift a grimy, blood-soaked finger.

However, don’t worry non-Plusites, the same demo will be made available to all PSN users on Wednesday as part of the normal weekly update. Quoted as the “first of many” early-bird treats for premium subscribers, it might be only two days but hey – at least it looks like Plus members are getting something for their money. Apart from, you know, all that ‘free’ content they may or may not actually want.

Note: the post over at the blog is listed under the following country channels: GB, IE, AU, NZ and AE. Hence, the demo may not be available in your country of residence.

  1. Wow! Two days!

    I’m gonna buy PSN+ now!

    • Loving the sarcasm…
But still, don’t knock it too hard just yet.

      • Don’t worry. With a comment like that and it getting you to 666 points, he is surely going to hell :P

    • haha just about to post that! ;P

    • yes, such a relief that I took the plunge…..

    • i knew there was a reason to part with 39.99
i get to play th sequal to one of the crappiest games ever as whole two days before the general pouulation.
      whoo hoo!

      • and apparently ive lost the ability to spell!

      • I quite liked it, it was a lot better than the critics gave it credit for, and the MP side of this one looks very interesting.

    • Yeah. Because an early access demo is all you get from PS+

  2. interesting, been meaning to try this game out, nice to see us PSN+ subscribers are seeing the benefits already :)

  3. Yeppy

  4. I don’t have automatic download turned on because I don’t want the automatic log in feature…. I hope not all the exclusive demos and betas will be done like this…

    • demos will be pushed to you, but I don’t think betas will be, since they won’t necessarily be there for everyone, but you’ll have priority to get a code for them.

  5. Not much in itself, but when added to the package as a whole it week early access to demo is the icing on the cake.

  6. ‘AE’? I don’t know what the hell it’s suppose to represent, but it might be ‘UAE’.

  7. Never played the first one hope its gonna be good

  8. Thanks to TSA I’ve played the Xbox demo. It seemed ok but didn’t convince me to rush out and buy it.

  9. definatly trying this out hoping it improves from the last game

  10. Seems quite odd that it’s only a 2 day exclusive for EU psn+ subscribers considering the following quote taken directly from the US blog.
“The demo is available exclusively to PlayStation Plus members for one week on the PlayStation Store — both by automatic download and from the storefront. The demo will be available to all PlayStation Store users on Tuesday, July 27.”
