TSA’s Top 100 of 2011 – #91 Ilomilo

Adorable 3D puzzler from Swedish studio Southend Interactive, Ilomilo is an XBLA exclusive we’ve had our eye on for quite some time. With its unique cute as a button art-style and engaging premise (the idea is to get fridge-shaped buddies Ilo and Milo reunited on each of the rotating and hazard-infested levels), it’s like Snakes and Ladders – if the age-old boardgame was invented today by Spanish architect Gaudi.

Though Ilomilo recently became available as part of AT&T’s exclusive Windows Phone 7 launch, the XLBA version – and what we’ve been eagerly awaiting – is still without a concrete release date. So, there is a chance this game will release on LIVE before the end of this year, hence completely negating this Top 100 list of 2011 titles and sending the known universe into a temporal tail-spin. Sorry about that.

If you like what you see above, we also recommend checking out the game’s development blog.

  1. Still one of the prettiest games I’ve ever seen, I’m just worried it’s a puzzler and nothing more. However, those visuals are so good I may well still get it to bask in its digital glory.

  2. Looks great on XBLA, hopefull it comes to the PSN

    • Produced by Microsoft Game Studios, I believe, so I think this is pretty much locked to MS platforms.

      • Maybe it will come to Windows Phone 7

      • It’s already on Windows Phone 7. See above.

  3. This reminds me a lot of Crush, the PSP puzzle platformer.

…and that’s a very good thing. I’m really glad I own both a 360 and a PS3 now. It always killed when I had to miss out on some great games because I was platform exclusive.
