Sonic Free Riders Multiplayer Trailer

Another trailer for the Kinect only ‘Sonic Free Riders’ has been released, this time focusing on the multiplayer element of the game.  It seems you had better like those who you are playing with, as things are set to get a bit up close and personal.  I wish I had a living room that big; the last time I tried to jump around like that I got a mouth full of patio door.

Back on topic, the game has recently scored rather well with IGN.

  1. …so…no shots of them ACTUALLY playing the game then. Just a life style yarn. lots more of these to come on the run to xmas.
I want to see Kinect actually work, i still wouldn’t have faith in buying one untill i get to walk into Currys and play it i think

  2. So with Kinect, when you buy a new game, wouldn’t you have to learn each and every move for the game before you play?

  3. Nice to see IGN scoring a game well even whilst admitting that the menus were a nightmare to try and control with the kinect… guess that doesn’t affect the experience at all right??

    • IGN are a joke, slating all Move games and praising Kinect games in return for a world exclusive first Kinect game review and whatever other incentives MS offered them…

As for these videos they’re hardly worth wasting your time watching – it’s a bunch of actors/dancers performing choreographed moves with some gameplay footage mixed in.

Take a look at some real people playing it on the IGN review videos and see that the truth is a lot more awkward and embarrassing and a lot less happy and dynamic as these trailers would have you believe…

  4. As Bajere said, theres not a single shot of the time lapse it takes to recognise your movements. Whether its bad or not Im not judging yet, but it doesn’t bode well that its not been shown here.
I just can’t see kinect going down very well.
I think something like Kinect is definitely in the future of gaming, however I don’t believe Kinect will flourish. Its will be Kinect gen 2/3 in 2015-20 which will change the name of the game I reckon

    • yea i can see the future versions of it being better, but as it stands, i cant see it being any good what so ever. I would hope the pad never leaves us though, nice to relax, feet up, pad in hand…not jumping about

    • If you gotta play in the future, you need virtual reality

  5. IGN has the world exclusive on Sonic Free riders. Everyone else has said in previews “It’s shit, you have to break your back to play it”. IGN give it 7.5.
