Uncharted 3: New Gameplay Clip And Interview

Over at the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog has posted a video interview with Justin Richmond and Amy Henning, taken from their exclusive screening event which followed this year’s Spike VGAs. There is little in the way of new information here, though it will be assuring for fans to hear that the team are slaving away, refining their already brilliant character animation techniques and making sure that UC3’s multiplayer will stand firm among the industry’s hottest contenders.

In other Uncharted 3 news, Eurogamer Italy has posted new gameplay footage from the demo version available to the press earlier this month. Again, nothing completely new though the game is looking fantastic, especially the improved melee system.

  1. Broke my self imposed pledge not to watch any ?uncharted3 so it’s as fresh as possible when I play it.

I really liked Uncharted, loved Uncharted2 (first time around, got a bit bored about 10% of the way through a completionist’s 2nd play through) but if I’m brutally honest this just looks more of the same.

I think the almost infinite enemy spawn where every single 5 yards there is some enemies waiting to be shot is starting to look a bit rinse & repeat.

I oike Drake & I’m excited for a new narrative & adventure for him – but I just wish there was a few more puzzles & environmental puzzles to overcome, rather than just look for a ledge.

And for this reason I’m far more looking forward to 2011’s Tomb Raider, than the rinse+repeat Uncharted3 gameplay we’ve seen so far.

    • I definitely enjoy the adventure story and puzzles more than shooting wave after wave of enemies, sometimes there are just a few too many in uncharted – although sometimes they get it just right. Uncharted is certainly a lot more exciting and varied than a lot of the ‘shooter’ type games of recent years. (Also, I’m not a fan of the first person perspective being used in games)

  2. “Is this an inner ear thing? Let’s go.”

Amazing line. I laughed out loud.

  3. At 0:54 it looked like Sully just decided to end Drake
