Ubisoft have announced that a new set of downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is on the way. “The Da Vinci Disappearance”, which is due to release in March for $9.99 (800 MS Points), provides both single player and multiplayer content this time around.
Leonardo Da Vinci seems to have gotten himself into some trouble and was kidnapped by the Hermeticists after the fall of the Borgias in Rome. According to the press release, Ezio needs to recover stolen paintings in order to find the whereabouts of his friend before it’s too late. The mission includes two new locations to explore and two new gameplay features which were not detailed.
The DLC includes one new multiplayer map, four new characters, and two new gameplay modes. Set in Spain’s Albaicin of Granada, the Alhambra map features multi-story gameplay and has both indoor and outdoor settings. The new characters are the Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis, and the Pariah.
The new gameplay modes, Escort and Assassinate, sound like interesting variations of previous game types. In Escort, two teams consisting of four players need to protect a VIP from being assassinated by either side. Assassinate mode is pretty much a ten minute deathmatch with support for up to eight players.
Check out the teaser trailer below. It has some pretty awesome music.

That Facebook ‘like’ thing hit a million the other day, and when I loaded up my copy of AC:B earlier, there was a patch update, so maybe the new night time map and other stuff has gone live now?

Good stuff, after 2 free DLC packs, £10 is great.
