Evidence is mounting towards an imminent Grand Theft Auto V announcement. We can’t be sure about this one but it’s looking reliable enough. It’s still a rumour though, so as always, caution is advised. Word is, Rockstar have recently registered a long list of domain names which have more than a little of the Grand Theft Autos about them.
The list was uncovered by some enterprising soul going by the name of RPG_ over on the GTAForum and contains hints towards a Carolina or California setting (or both?) as well as a tiny indication that you might be able to cycle again, San Andreas-style.
No firm evidence that Rockstar are behind this, some of the domains were registered a very long time ago but then, the script and setting would have needed to be pinned down reasonably early and planning must have been underway since the GTA III Trilogy.
Rockstar are not listed in the WHOIS information for any of the ones I’ve searched, it’s just a general host contact. So the evidence seems to rest on the fact that these are in the same block of IP addresses on a DNS server as grandtheftauto5.com, a domain that positively displays as being registered to Rockstar.
Unless Rockstar are planning on really diversifying their portfolio to include cooking games and dodgy legal advice, we would guess that these domains, if indeed they are owned by the company, hint at a new instalment in the cars-and-guns franchise.

Of course, there is another Rockstar game that’s already been announced. Could these domains find their way into Max Payne 3? We’re almost breathless with anticipation.

Didn’t really get into GTAIV, but then the game kept corrupting on me and I had to redo the first 10 odd hours a few times, that deffinetly put me off it! But now I wan’t to play it again. I’m hoping for a Vice City style GTA game again!

Cycle? awesome, there were alot of features from SA that i missed in IV, like truck and trailor combos.
Like i have said before, i think the next in game internet maybe connected to the real interwebs, it just makes sense

GTA5 is coming. I think it will be annouced in a few months but won’t be released untill next year as Rockstar only does one game a year.
