A number of Tweets from game director and creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Hideo Kojima, have recently been flagged, suggesting that Bluepoint’s HD port of MGS: Peace Walker will run at 60 frames per second. Uploading images from the game, the universally acclaimed game designer tweeted, “60 frames per second in HD… it’s the best! Say peace!” pretty much confirming that the team behind the much-loved God of War Collection were successful in boosting the PSP hit’s original performance.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD will launch as part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection this November (PS3, 360) which will also include updated versions of MGS2 and MGS3: Subsistence.

Looking forward to playing this on the ‘big sceen’. I liked the demo but just couldn’t play it for any length of time on the PSP.

This bodes well for the PSP emulation, hopefully other dev’s going down the road of HD-upgrading will make good use of the available power.

I’ve sunk 100+ hours in Peace Walker PSP and i still can’t wait for this one.

I got stuck on a boss on Peace Walker and struggled with the controls. Cant wait to get this HD collection and give the game another chance. Is it 100% confirmed that saves can be crossed over from the PSP?
On topic, 60fps sounds sweet, I hope they touch up the textures a bit more too, HD is nice an all but PW does look a bit fuzzy and I have a certain graphical expectation when a MGS game is released.

Day one purchase regardless :-)

60 FPS sounds good. I hope they clean up the graphics a bit as some textures from what i have seen so far seem to be a bit jagged but it could be that they are optimsing the PW engine for the consoles and are just concerned with making sure it works perfectly.:) If only this was not released in Novemeber.*sigh*
