SEGA Sammy has announced that it expects to post an “extraordinary” loss of ¥7.1 billion.
With this in mind, the company will be undergoing some restructuring, with the US and EU branch being streamlined to “create a smaller company positioned for sustained profitability”.
Furthermore, a number of titles will be cancelled. Strong IPs such as Sonic, Football Manager, Total War and Aliens will escape the cut, as they are expected to post solid earnings.
So… bye Bayonetta 2?

Sonic is escaping the cut? I know he’s Sega’s mascot but maybe that and cameo appearances are exactly what he should be reduced to. Happy we can still expect to see Aliens on its way.
