Fansite ‘Battlefieldo’ is reporting ‘some exclusive (unofficial, but from a very reliable source) news’ that something called ‘Battlefield Premium’ will launch on June 4th. Conveniently, that’s the day of the EA E3 conference.
“Battlefield Premium will land you a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else. First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options,” they say.
Is Battlefield Premium EA’s response to Call Of Duty Elite? Guess we’ll find out at E3.

I actually laughed at the tag for this when I saw “premium knife” thinking it was just a joke, then when I saw it was actually true, my jaw hit the floor. EA are actually trying to kill BF3 aren’t they?

So we can’t play BF3 in the future if we don’t want to get banned from a server for a stupid reason but we can get different camo for a high price. Makes sense.
Seriously, EA we are not a bloody cash machine! What’s next charging for every pixel used or locking the menu unless we pay to unlock it?

If they want to sell this it better come with the random stuff mentioned above, ALL the DLCs for no extra charge, free server rental for the duration of the subscription, Part of the team that decided this was a good ideas souls.

i’m guessing this “premium knife” is the Russian knife from the campaign (the one in the dima missions)

Give us the official servers back and I may consider buying DLC or w/e addons that may be released.

surely the whole point of camo is that you don’t stand out. o_O

No EA, just no.
If i was a teacher, i would be saying someting along the lines of “must do better”.
