Despite the previously Wii U version seeing a substantial delay, Ubisoft have just announced that there’ll be a PlayStation Vita version popping up the August 29th release date.
“Rayman Legends on Vita includes all of the original Rayman Legends content,” says the press release, “as well as five exclusive maps playable with Murphy, the green bottle fly seen in previous Rayman games, controlled through the Rear TouchPad.”
“A multiplayer mode is locally accessible on Wi-Fi and fans from the same country can play in cooperation.Players can also compete with one another in the online challenges and compare rankings in the online leaderboards.”
Two exclusive costumes will also be included, including the ability to dress Rayman as the Prince of Persia, and Globox as the bloke from Splinter Cell.

Loved Rayman on PS3, loved it even more on Vita.

Still not finished origins… I’d better crack on with it as I feel an obligation to support this release on Vita.

This will be my chosen console then, the original was a perfect fit for the Vita.

To think I bought a Wii U on the back of this title. Arghh! Still a good console imho . Vita version it is then, as origins is by far the best version on the Vita.

I preferred the PS3 version but will probably end up buying both like I did with Rayman Origins… Great news, though!

Great! Origins looks fantastic on the OLED screen!

Makes sense. Couldn’t understand why Ubisoft chose to make PS3/360 versions when the game is so heavily designed around the touch screen. At least on Vita people can experience the game as it was originally intended.
