Speaking on GameTrailers, Sony’s Jack Tretton has indicated that we won’t be seeing Team Ico’s The Last Guardian any time soon.
“I think the cool thing about our worldwide development studios is we have so many projects out there from so many great teams,” he said, speaking about the much anticipated and much delayed adventure.
“Projects never ultimately go away, so The Last Guardian has certainly not gone away, but it’s on hiatus right now.”
The Last Guardian was first revealed back in 2009, originally intended for the PlayStation 3. Rumours recently suggested the game had moved to PlayStation 4 but where it is now is anyone’s guess.
The studio haven’t released a game since PS2 cult hit Shadow Of The Colossus.

It’s just as well you gave us so much to cheer about last night Jack but i won’t give up hope on TLG just yet anyway.

I think they must be struggling to make the game play like they originally envisioned. It can’t be easy to pull off those particular game mechanics.
Hopefully they will suss it out with the extra power of the ps4,there is certainly enough talent in the studio to eventually make it happen.

How are Team Ico still in business? They haven’t released any game since PS2’s SOTC, that just amaze’s me.

at this rate the next time we see the game the question will be “is it coming out on PS5?”
if we do ever see it again.
