Ace Combat Infinity Announced, Exclusive To PS3

Namco have just revealed their latest Ace Combat game, dubbed Infinity, which is going to be exclusive to the PlayStation 3. The trailer doesn’t give much away – and hardly any gameplay – but it does seem to confirm there’ll be real world locations.

  2. 45 second clip, 0% gameplay. Nice. I thought they could have padded it out a little more by stretching the opening and closing titles.

    • Things to see from the trailer:
      – real world locations
      – real time and futuristic jets (0:28 the jets look like some kind of new version of SU-47 Berkut)
      – it looks like the game will have anime/animated cutscenes (0:29 first frame shows some fancy looking headphones, that don’t seem to be real time or CGI, they look very hand drawn)
      – I wouldn’t see it as an free to play title or something like that, as the whole meteor crash images and craters (I think Ace Combat 4 had something about meteor crashes in it) look like they have a story to be told + the girls laughing points to it

  9. I guess, there aren’t too many Ace Combat fans on TSA. Those 46 sec gave me more excitement than the gameplay trailer from GTA V.

  10. I hope its a return to the PS2 style Ace Combat games, I bloody hated the version they released last time out. Those of you who’ve followed the series since the PS1 and PS2 know what I mean.

    • …since PS1 and Ace Combat: Electrosphere (previous ones were kind of ‘meh’), which was bloody brilliant.

      • The Japanese 2 Disc version of Ace Combat: Electrosphere was by far the best version, but it was totally destroyed when released in the uk/us market as a 1 disc version, I’m so glad I bought the 2 disc version first
