Dynasty Warriors 8 will receive its first major expansion later this year, according to the latest issue of Famitsu. Launching in Japan on November 28th, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends will usher in a new game mode as well as two new characters: Chen Gong and Zhu Ran.
We reviewed Dynasty Warriors 8 earlier this year, praising it as the best game in the series. Traditionally, almost all titles in the series have been followed up by an Xtreme Legends expansion. The last XL, however, proved to be quite lacklustre.
According to reports, DW8XL will be coming to both PS3 and Vita with cross-save functionality.
