Despite the closure of LucasArts and the transfer of the Star Wars license to EA by Disney there was always a slim chance Star Wars 1313 existed in some state. There have been rumours flying around since the transfer that perhaps Visceral Games had taken control of development duties, but there was never any solid news about 1313’s fate.
That is until December 23rd where it looks like Disney abandoned the trademark, according to the US Patents & Trademarks Office, which shows it was on that day the status changed, perhaps sealing the potential game centered around Boba Fett and his adventures in a literal criminal underworld to the annals of history.
It’s a bit of a shame, in my opinion, as it looked like Star Wars 1313 could have breathed new life into the franchise’s video game library. At least we still have a new Battlefront to look forward to.

I thought we agreed there would be no disintegrations this time…
A real shame this wont be happening now. Perhaps Republic Commando 2 will get back on the rumour roundabout.

Aye, it’s pretty sad that this’ll never see the light of day.

That is a shame, hopefully Battlefront 3 makes up for it.

We can only hope.

It wont… ;_;
Nothing can fill the void that Star Wars 1313 left inside my heart!
