WeView Verdict: Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment

We quite enjoyed Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment, and it seems as though you lot did too. While hardly the best game on the market, it did draw some of you in with its detective hooks.

Doomsday619 was one of those people, and after getting the game at Christmas along with titles such as Assassin’s Creed Unity, The Crew, WWE 2K15, Sleeping Dogs, and LittleBigPlanet, this was the one that drew the most attention, also saying that they “couldn’t put down” as it’s “one that really tests you whether you have the right criminal or not.”

The “first case” was all MrYd managed to find time for, but it was “quite enjoyable” with a “well thought out crime to investigate”. He even enjoyed the criticised mini-games, but found that frame rate let the game down on PS3, as it was all over the place, making it a “horrible experience at times”.

While it’s “not a bad looking game on PS3”, it felt like playing a PS2 game according to TSBonyman, which ultimately let it down.

No one else had much to say about the game, though Crazy_Del cannot wait to try it, and while CR8ZYHORSE enjoyed the previous game in the series, they had a problem with the safe cracking due to being colourblind! So they’re hoping this game fixes all of that.

So, hardly a huge response, but what was there was mostly positive. There was one vote for Buy It and two votes for Plus It (which you can do now with the PS3 version), but no votes for Sale It or Avoid It. You’ll find the poll for next week’s game below, and we’ve got Dragon Age: Inquisition coming up tomorrow.
